I would never talk ugly to a child and my comment posted here did have sarcasm! But, the mom of this little girl did a disservice to her 4-year-old. When putting prejudices and judgments in her head! You don’t judge a book by its cover and then put that onto a 4-year-old! Believe me, I have plenty of opinions in life but never ever shared those with my child. That is what is wrong with our world. Prejudice is learned in the home and I believe the parent of this little preschool girl. So I had done need to be brought down a few pegs. I was very gentle about it. But, I felt it was a learning moment for both this little girl and her judgmental mom.

It is a teaching moment & you sarcastically made a comment that was argumentative and encouraged a child to take it back to their parent. Two wrongs don’t make a right. We supposed to use our knowledge for good. I agree, the mother set the pace with her daughter by teaching her that untruth. So thereby setting the pace for the daughter to learn the truth!
